Bringing the World of Minerals to Your Classroom

About Mine to Mind

Many schools struggle to connect classroom learning with the real-world origins of the products we use every day, especially when it comes to mining, sustainability, and the link to students’ own lives.

Mine to Mind bridges that gap. Our interactive sessions give students & teachers the chance to handle real minerals, from sparkling crystals to the “ugly” rocks that power modern life. Each program is tailored to suit the audience; teacher support, primary schools, high-school level discussions on economics, sustainability, and global supply chains. We make every session both relatable and impactful.

About me

Mine to Mind is currently a passionate team of one. Dr Cameron Perks is a father of three young kids, and has worked as a resources analyst and consultant for over a decade. He’s travelled throughout Australia to Japan, Korea, China, Europe, the USA, Borneo, and across Africa to see firsthand how minerals are mined, processed, and transformed into the products we use every day.

Cameron turns award-winning public speaking skills into engaging, interactive sessions that leave students and teachers informed, inspired, and curious about the world beneath their feet.
